The Granel practice emerged from a straightforward observation: most nutritional guidance available to individuals in the UK operates at a level of generality that makes personalised application difficult. Broad dietary recommendations, unverified ingredient sourcing, and the absence of documented follow-up produce eating patterns that are not compositionally verified at any stage.

Granel was built to operate differently. Every consultation produces a written intake record. Every meal plan references verified ingredient provenance and seasonal produce availability. Every follow-up session compares the current compositional record against the baseline established at the start of the programme.

This is a nutritionist guidance practice built around documentation. Not aspirational photography or trend-cycle meal aesthetics — but a systematic method for developing healthy eating habits that persist because they are grounded in individually calibrated data, whole-food principles, and a real-food approach tested over fortnightly review cycles.

All compositional data referenced in Granel practice materials is drawn from peer-reviewed sources. Ingredient role descriptions adhere to established food-science conventions rather than extrapolated health claims.
